The National Institute of Sport Studies, Faculty of Health will be hosting a seminar presented by Landell Archer on Tuesday 26th July from 10 â 11 am in Room 12B2.
How innovative technology can be used to assess health and medical practitioner training efficacy and workplace performance.
Landell Archer works to support novel technology in assessing the performance of health practitioners such as midwives, nurses and physiotherapists as well as sport athletes within real-world environments. Landell will discuss examples where novel technology and analysis methods are being used in reviewing surgical techniques and performance of surgeons during operations. Landellâs presentation will then explore objective analysis of communication strategies and decision making as well as patient support techniques of nurses and midwives using the same technology and methods. The application of this technology in providing feedback to physiotherapists on the accuracy of patient diagnosis and effective rehabilitation techniques will also be discussed. Landell will outline how the application of novel technology can be applied to promote learning and feedback in student lead health clinics and in reviewing teaching practises in a tertiary education setting. The methods that Landell will explore during this presentation have been derived from sport analysis techniques involving SportsCode software and have improved workplace outcomes and community engagement in the health and exercise science industry.
